Software license management is the process of tracking, organizing, and controlling a company's software licenses to ensure the organization remains compliant with vendor licensing terms while avoiding unnecessary costs from unused or duplicate licenses. As companies rely on a growing number of software applications, effective license management has become an important part of overall IT and financial governance.
