is cheaper (practically zero) but the significant compliance risk resulting in potential fines not worth the savings
HIGH
~35% over and above salaries: costs include transfer pricing, HR+finance functions, compliance, and office overhead
LOW
Transparent and predictable all inclusive flat fee/month/employee - see pricing section
FAST
is fast since you could onboard without any compliance or paperwork (again, a risk)
MODERATE
in certain countries, it can take months to set up; not including branding efforts to attract top talent
FAST
<24 hours with full compliance in its LIVE countries
HIGH
can be deemed as 'misclassification' under 1099 since employees effectively operating as full-time
NONE
presumably has legal and HR teams (come at a cost) to comply with local laws/requirements
NONE
manages local employment contracts, salary structures, and all other statutory compliances (vary by country)
MODERATE
Contractors are free agents with high attrition rate and therefore the need to backfill periodically
HIGH
Need to invest in HR/Admin/Finance teams to help manage the local teams
NONE
None - kaamwork seamlessly plays your local HR role

Frequently Asked Questions

No. You can hire using other or your regular channels as well. Posting on #HireAnywhere by kaamwork is free and specifically built to make remote hiring more efficient by (i) matching timezone overlaps, (ii) auto-filtering candidates and (iii) standardizing global applications
Three reasons: (i) time: to set one up in most countries takes a few weeks if not months; the ongoing drain on your resources to manage compliance and HR services is an additional burden; (ii) cost: with transfer pricing, compliance, HR & Finance teams – the blended cost is ~35-45% on top of salaries on a per hire basis, significantly higher than $499/mo/employee flat fee with kaamwork, and (iii) restrictive: if you start an entity in France but find a colleague in Netherlands (same timezone), you need another Dutch entity multiplying the cost and effort; with kaamwork, you can hire in any of our live countries seamlessly
Yes. You will see instant savings and a better experience for your colleagues overall
You run significant compliance risks both in your country of incorporation as well as your remote colleague’s country of residency. You run the risk of mis-classification when you hire folks effectively operating as full-time colleagues under 1099 or equivalent contractor labels. Your effectively full-time employees on the other hand, receive no payslips or other legally binding documents to properly file their tax returns locally. The #EmployAnywhere is safe and more sustainable for both of you.
You can enter into a contract with your contract employee but such contracts are hard to enforce under the jurisdiction of the contractor’s resident country. It is also unlikely that you will pursue the legal route against an individual in a foreign country in cases of breach.
Yes. We partner with coworking brands such as Wework to get you a branded office for your colleagues
